ummm girl, ya should’ve just asked me.when gaga was 19 and a go-go dancer in the LES, she danced at a bar called st. jerome’s and dated the bar’s manager/bartender/metal dj—luc carl. she has been on and off with him (currently off) for 6 years. they got together last in 2010 and broke up fall 2011. luc is rumored to be the ex-boyfriend who told her that she would never make it and she gave her now infamous, “you’ll never buy coffee at the deli without hearing one of my songs”, self-fulfilling prophecy to. he’s an ongoing theme in the Born This Way album: “heavy metal lover”, “fashion of his love”, “you & I”, “electric chapel”, and “judas” (she’s said it’s about ‘embracing the dark in your life instead of shunning it’ or something that effect, but he’s tweeted “I am judas” and it does kinda make sense in that regard as well) are about him—and probably “bloody mary” and “highway unicorn” too though tbh I still don’t really get the metaphors she’s going for in those songs. he also inspired “fooled me again (honest eyes)”, “paparazzi”, and “again again” from The Fame. he has a book called The Drunk Diet about how he lost weight while still getting drunk and running (he’s now a certified personal trainer, too) and gaga even name dropped it a few times while they were together last and it’s still, unsurprisingly, a flop. ironically, she is now dating the male lead from the video for “you & I”, taylor kinney.before that, there was also a stint with a guy named speedy in ‘09 and she also had a fling with matthew williams, aka “dada”, who was one of the founding members as well as the Creative Director of the Haus of Gaga from ‘08 to late ‘10. “bad romance” was rumored to be about dada, but it was most likely about luc, as she got him back a few months later while visiting NYC on a break (around the same time she flipped off the paps at that mets game, yeeeep).and though she hinted as being bi in the past (among the many interpretations of “pokerface”, one is that it is about thinking about a girl while having sex with a guy, “so happy I could die” is supposed to be about masturbating while thinking of a girl and “americano”  is a commentary on the American dream, immigration and gay rights told as a love story between gaga and an LA mexican girl), she has never actually dated a woman. tl;dr short answer: that taylor kinney dude, and clearly I need to get off gaga fan LJ communities and actually be a productive human being.
